The project justifies the need for scenario-based attention and identifies five variables for classifying crash scenarios and decomposing the data accordingly. Then, it illustrates the development of an attention guidance for the common scenario of fatal crashes. Time and location related variables were identified or created from an exploratory data analysis for featuring driving scenes. These feature variables are used to cluster fatal crash data.
